¤    Christian Aid Week 2011
Needham Market generously donated in excess of £2600 to Christian Aid. Thank you to everyone for their donation and the hard work of all the volunteers for helping to beat the 2009 total, and in such difficult times. Christian Aid supports 700 organisations working in over 50 developing countries to help meet peoples most basic of needs. We always need collectors, if you are able to help this year please contact Roland Owen (720950). For more information on the work of Christian Aid, or to donate on-line click here to visit their website.

¤    Produce Stalls
Outside the church, the first Saturday of each month between April and October we have a stall which sells local produce, plants, bric a brac, books, toys, and many cakes, scones, jams etc. Please do help support the monthly stalls which are very popular and there is always more demand than the quantity of cakes! Last year these stalls alone raised more than £1000 for church funds.

¤    Lent Soup Lunch
his event is part of our Charitable giving as all the money raised is donated to St Edmundsbury & Ipswich link Diocese in Kagera in aid of the Pastors Children’s Fund. This enables the children of pastors in Kagera, to attend secondary school . Last Summer our former Priest in Charge, Canon Revd Paul Daltry, went with a party from the Diocese to visit Kagera and on Saturday 19th March, at the lunch, he is coming to tell us all about his visit and hopefully bring along some photographs to show us what life over there is really like.
